I’ve watched Skylights by Knate Myers at least seven times now and could easily watch it ten more. It literally blows my mind every time I watch it. Then, to read about how the video was produced, it starts to melt my brain. The very thought of a place in the world where the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye has me yearning to plan a trip to the “VLA” (Very Large Array) in New Mexico.
The video is made of nothing more than photographs–nearly 6,000 photos to be exact. Knate Myers captures the amazing show which goes unseen every single night by all but a few who are able to find a place dark enough to see the glorious show overhead. Simply watching this video makes you realize just how small we are in this universe, it’s almost scary.
